Mission Statement
Sunbeams Preschool, sponsored by the Leipsic United Methodist Church, is a ministry of Christian education to the Leipsic community and surrounding areas. The center opened January 3, 1984, with a school board formed and elected by the church congregation.
Sunbeams provides a developmental program, allowing children to develop skills through learning centers in a play-oriented environment. Learning opportunities are provided in the areas of cognitive development, creative development, language development, social/emotional development, spiritual development, and physical (both fine and gross motor) development. Bible stories, songs, and activities are included in the monthly curriculum.
The happiness of the children is the primary mission. The staff helps the children to develop to their fullest potential as well as helping them appreciate, love, and learn kindness while developing independence.
Sunbeams is a child-oriented center where as much personal attention and guidance as possible is given to each child. Each child is viewed and treated with respect and dignity and given an environment in which to explore and learn new skills.
